SAFARI ITINERARY

Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, your family will be warmly welcomed to Tanzania. From the airport, you'll be transferred to your chosen accommodation in either Arusha or Moshi, depending on your flight arrival time. Take this day to relax and unwind, acclimatizing to your new surroundings, and prepare for the exciting adventure that awaits you

After a delicious breakfast, embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, situated approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Arusha. This park is renowned for its picturesque landscapes adorned with magnificent baobab trees and, most notably, its large herds of elephants. The whole family will be captivated by the incredible diversity of wildlife on display here. Throughout the day, enjoy thrilling game drives, keeping your eyes peeled for various species that call this park their home. Overnight accommodation will be provided in a lodge or campsite either within the park or nearby.

On the third day of your adventure, you'll travel from Tarangire National Park to the legendary Serengeti National Park, an iconic wildlife destination. The journey will take you approximately 4-6 hours, but the anticipation of what awaits you will make the time pass quickly. Upon entering the Serengeti, be prepared to be awestruck by the vast plains and abundant wildlife. The Serengeti is famous for the annual wildebeest migration, an incredible spectacle you might witness if your visit coincides with the migration season. Your family will enjoy game drives en route to your lodge or campsite, where you will spend the next two nights.

The fourth day will be dedicated to fully exploring the wonders of the Serengeti ecosystem. From dawn to dusk, you'll embark on morning and afternoon game drives, led by experienced guides who will share their knowledge of the wildlife and the area's ecology. Keep your camera ready as you search for the Big Five and other remarkable species that inhabit this unique landscape. The Serengeti's captivating beauty and abundant wildlife will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on your family's hearts. Optionally, you can opt for a hot air balloon safari, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the Serengeti from above (additional cost). The night will be spent in the same lodge or campsite within the park.

Leaving the Serengeti behind, you'll journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an approximately 3-4 hour drive from the Serengeti. This conservation area encompasses the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After descending into the crater, prepare to be amazed by the high concentration of wildlife, including the elusive black rhino. The crater's natural splendor and the array of animals it harbors will make this an unforgettable experience for the entire family. In the late afternoon, ascend to your lodge or campsite, located on the crater rim, offering spectacular views and a serene atmosphere for your final night in the wild

On the last day of your family safari, you have the opportunity for a short nature walk on the Ngorongoro Crater rim, taking in the scenic beauty one last time. Following breakfast, bid farewell to the captivating wildlife and natural wonders of Tanzania as you make your way back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Cherish the memories of your thrilling Tanzania family safari, knowing you've experienced the best of East Africa's wildlife and landscapes.
